The Town

This one of a kind vacation rental home is nestled in the Sierra Madre Mountains. The moderately high altitude brings great climate advantages. Dry clear air, few bugs, millions of stars visible at night, San Miguel is surely heaven on earth! Enjoy the cool summers, warm winters... the fall and spring are amazingly beautiful! Anytime is the right time to visit this colonial village.

San Miguel, a sun-drenched, flower-laden town in Mexico's colonial heartland, where the weather is perfect and the living is good. Conde Nast´s poll asked 25,000 of their readers to rate foreign cities on the basis of ambience, people/friendliness, culture/entertainment and restaurants. San Miguel de Allende came as 10th in the world, after cities such as Sidney, Rome and Venice.

Activities to be enjoyed include visiting the historic village, Angela Peralta Theater, Bellas Artes School, galleries, art and language schools, museums, theaters, concerts, lectures, and dance performances. Restaurants with live entertainment and music are just a few minutes walk from Casita del Sol, as are the shops and stores where unusual crafts, antiques and gifts are available.

Outdoor activities include horseback riding, golf, tennis, hiking, croquet, swimming in natural hot springs.
Educational walking tours and the Sunday House and Garden Tour are also available.

But the greatest attraction of San Miguel are the people who live there. The town is like a Mexican Brigadoon which, despite all that's happening in the world, maintains its beauty, charm and friendliness.
